Residential Moorings

Nauticalia own and operate a small number of residential moorings available to let on the River Thames in a glorious countryside location just upstream from Shepperton Lock. Shepperton is 18 miles from central London and close to junctions of the M25 and M3 and the moorings are 1.5 miles from Shepperton station with direct trains to Waterloo.

These delightful picturesque moorings are alongside privately-owned Thames towpath (public footpath only) in a Green Belt estate and suitable for navigable vessels or smart purpose-built houseboats up to 5.65m fixed beam, 5.3m air draft (two storeys) and overall length 17m (55ft 9in). They are aimed at maintaining the luxurious quality of the surrounding area, and are not suitable for those simply seeking a cut-price spot on the river.

Each residential mooring has:-
~ Private road access with parking for two cars within 80 yards of the mooring.
~ Metered 100-amp electrical supply from a shore point.
~ Mains water from a shore point.
~ Privately owned sewage plant, to which all houseboats must connect for all sewage and grey water discharge.
~ Telephone line/internet access.
~ Refuse collection facilities.
~ Direct postal and newspaper deliveries.

The mooring fee from 1 April 2024 will be £12,605 a year (£1,050.41 a month) plus a charge for the sewage plant of about £150 per year. Electricity and water are invoiced directly by the suppliers and council tax, charged at the lowest band, is through Spelthorne Borough Council.

Residential moorings on the River Thames are often hard to find, and we do not currently have any vacancies. If you would like to add your name to our waiting list, please register your interest using the form below
